How did you get into Opensource Router Firmwares?

I took an interest in opensource router firmware after several years of frustrating ping and lag problems whilst playing online games on a shared internet connection. I began my journey by installing Gargoyle onto a WNDR3800 which worked perfectly. I wanted to give back to the community and so i decided to begin trying to help with the development of the firmware. My experience in various coding languages has been quite beneficial in this process however the whole thing was rather new to me.
You don't need a degree in Engineering or a knowledge of coding to do any of this however, but it certainly helps.
If you would like some pointers on how to customize Gargoyle (or openwrt) firmware to suit your specific needs, I am always happy to help those who are willing to help themselves.

Can I hire you for freelance work?

Maybe! Drop me a line via the contact page to discuss details.
